Reactors

Reactors and vessels for chemical reactions Design and production according to customer requirements Tested quality for every process

Certified quality

We can handle pressure. After all, reactors are often pressure vessels. That’s why we manufacture them in accordance with the European Pressure Equipment Directive PED, DIN EN 13445 and AMSE U-Stamp for manufacturers of unfired pressure equipment. DIN EN13445 applies to both the tank and the coil. Our engineers guarantee the quality and safety of the chemical reactors with their expertise. Guaranteed.

Reliable with temperature fluctuations

Hot or cold? We are familiar with large temperature fluctuations. Because Gpi’s reactors are specifically designed for extreme cases and can even withstand temperatures of up to 200°C without any problems. We know about the reactions in which – for example – the additional heat generated is cooled down again. Since these processes of heating and cooling follow each other quickly, there are large temperature differences. We offer robust heating or cooling for chemical reactors. If desired, both can be combined. Gpi is prepared for everything.

Do you have any questions about our storage tanks?

Strong protection for chemical reactors

Reactors are all about action – thanks to pressure, steam and agitators. Whether pressure vessels or stirred tank reactors, the vessels are often designed with wall thicknesses of up to 10 mm. Our engineers rely on resistant stainless steel materials such as grades 1.4404, 1.4541, 904L or Duplex. This means you are definitely on the safe side. Would you like a high-quality finish? On request, we can offer the inner walls completely sanded to Ra<0.4 and electropolished.

Since those vessels are also exposed to high temperatures, they are insulated accordingly. For temperatures above 150°C we recommend mineral wool or foam glass as insulation material. The coating of the insulation is usually made of aluminium. For robust heating and cooling, our engineers rely on coils inside and half pipes outside.

Maximum quality control

Trust is good, control is better: that is why quality management enjoys the highest priority for us. To ensure this, we keep an eye on the entire process, performing all steps from engineering to manufacturing to quality control in-house. Therefore, we can guarantee solutions for your reactors that meet the strictest specifications. Our employees have many years of experience and the necessary know-how for the design and manufacture of your process vessels. You will also receive complete documentation of the materials used. We would be happy to explain the details to you personally and give you an insight into our production.
