Bright Beer Tank (BBT)
Bright Beer Tanks form the final stage in the brewing process, after which the beer is ready to be bottled. Just like our CCTs, our BBTs for filtered beer are custom-made to ensure the perfect finish, pressure, and dimensions. As a standard, our Bright Beer Tanks come with a hygienic finish. However, they are also available completely polished or electropolished if you desire an even higher-grade finish. The cooling capacity, insulation, and pressure (including static pressure) of the tanks can be adjusted according to your needs. In addition to CCT fermentation tanks and BBT storage tanks, Gpi also produces all additional tanks that are often used for existing or new beer products, such as water, syrup, or horizontal fermentation tanks.
Bright Beer Tanks are used to store and condition beer after filtration and before packaging. During this stage, the beer is stabilised and maintained under controlled pressure and temperature to preserve its quality and carbonation. Depending on the process requirements, a Bright Beer Tank can be designed with the appropriate pressure rating, cooling system, insulation, and process connections. All tanks are manufactured from stainless steel and designed for hygienic operation, allowing efficient cleaning and reliable integration into automated brewing processes.

FAQ
What is a Bright Beer Tank (BBT)?
A Bright Beer Tank, also known as a BBT, is a stainless steel cylindrical vessel used in breweries for the storage and conditioning of beer before it is bottled.
How does a Bright Beer Tank differ from other beer storage tanks?
Bright Beer Tanks are specifically designed for the final conditioning of beer and often include double cooling channels to maintain precise temperature control.
Why are Bright Beer Tanks typically made of stainless steel?
Stainless steel is preferred for Bright Beer Tanks due to its durability, ease of cleaning, and resistance to corrosion, ensuring the quality and purity of the stored beer.
How are Bright Beer Tanks cooled?
Bright Beer Tanks can be cooled with liquid, such as glycol, circulating through the double cooling channels within the walls of the tank.
Can Bright Beer Tanks be customized for specific brewery projects?
Yes, Bright Beer Tanks can be designed and constructed to meet the specific requirements of individual brewery projects, taking into account factors such as size, volume, and cooling methods.
