Gpi Tanks advancing towards BRL-K21051 certification for underground tanks

Gpi Tanks is taking the next step in broadening its certified tank solutions. Following a successful KIWA audit for BRL-K21051, we are extending our certification from scope 1B (aboveground horizontal cylindrical tanks) to also include scope 1A (underground horizontal cylindrical tanks). With this upcoming certification, we will also be able to deliver underground solutions that meet the same strict quality and safety standards.

The audit has been successfully completed. For the final certification, it is required that we carry out the assessment against the guideline during the production of a tank.

With this expansion of the certification scope, Gpi Tanks underlines its ambition to offer customers a broad and reliable portfolio of storage solutions, both aboveground and underground.

Applications of underground storage tanks

Underground storage tanks are used across a wide range of sectors. Examples include the storage of rainwater or firewater buffers, process and wastewater, chemical liquids in the (petro)chemical industry, or fuels such as diesel and gasoline. In infrastructure and environmental facilities as well, such as stormwater detention or oil and grease separation, underground tanks provide a reliable and space-saving solution.
