Do you have any questions about our milk tanks?
Milk cooling tanks and milk storage tanks
Milk storage is an important part of dairy product processing and manufacturing. Whether it’s a cooling tank effective for milk refrigeration, a tank for storing raw milk directly from the farm, or even storing processed milk for the production of products like cheese, these tanks improve milk quality.
Available in a range of sizes and models, we have options to cater to every type of dairy farm, no matter the size or demand.
We regularly produce milk storage tanks with capacities of up to 500 m3, but larger storage tanks are also an option. In fact, we produce tanks up to 15,000 m3.
We can fit the tanks with the right insulation and cooling exactly as specified. We use modern technology and advanced innovations to manufacture cooler and bulk tanks that can handle litres of milk, water, and other liquids.
We mainly produce vertical tanks for the dairy industry, but horizontal tanks are also possible. Read more about our storage tanks.
Process tanks for milk
Do you want to store and process products? Then, there are various options for processes to take place in the tank, such as producing yoghurt.
You may already know exactly what you need, our experts can also advise you on the optimum process tank. Want to read more about cream tanks/yoghurt tanks or crystallisation tanks?

Stainless steel milk tanks
Stainless steel provides a clean and sanitary environment necessary for milk storage, and as such, we only build milk tanks made of stainless steel.
Stainless steel is a highly corrosion-resistant material and can be finished in a perfectly hygienic way for tanks in the dairy industry.
The well-known stainless steel type 316(L) is often used. The parts that require less hygiene, for example, can be finished in stainless steel 304(L). We also build duplex tanks, but this is not so common for the dairy industry.
High-quality milk tanks for your Dairy Farm
With in-house engineering, production, quality control, and assembly, we maintain maximum control over quality and guarantee solutions that meet the most stringent requirements in terms of hygiene, safety, durability, and ease of operation for both liquids and solids.
Manufacturing, testing, and commissioning your equipment on-site is no problem for our assembly department. Naturally, we work within the set international standards and regulations, and if required, we can also produce according to the EHEDG guidelines. Read more about our standards and certifications.
Fittings and Additional Characteristics of Milk Tanks
Tank agitator combinations
Let us take care of the agitator in addition to the tank construction. We have good relations with all reputable agitator suppliers and ensure trouble-free handling and assembly.
Finishing level
We produce milk tanks with an internal roughness of Ra 0.8 as standard, but if required we can produce tanks with much smoother (and therefore more hygienic) internal walls.
Heating and cooling
In processes such as pasteurisation or fermentation, heating or cooling the tank is very important. Provide the right combination of heating / cooling capacity and insulation on the tank, to heat or cool your product within the desired time. Submit your cooling / heating case directly to Gpi, we like to think along about the most efficient solution. Whether this is dimple, double jacket or half pipe.
Where do we build your milk tank(s)?
If transport is possible, we build tanks in our production halls in Lopik or Groot-Ammers. Larger tanks can be produced in Groot-Ammers, where the tanks can be shipped directly.
If transport is not an option – because of the size or limited space at your location – we can also build tanks up to 15,000 m3 efficiently on site using our own developed system.
