Students from the Technical and Construction School in Brzeg visit Gpi Tanks Poland

On April 28–29, 2025, students from the Technical and Construction School (Zespół Szkół Budowlanych) in Brzeg visited Gpi Tanks Poland. Over the course of two days, approximately 50 students had the opportunity to explore how stainless steel tanks are made — from theory to hands-on practice.

A complete learning experience

The visit included three main parts:

  • a production tour led by Maciej Szczepuła (Production Manager), Stanisław Bobrowski (Production Planner), and Tomasz Damczewski (Foreman),

  • an introduction to the company presented by Jagoda António (Marketing Specialist),

  • an engineering session featuring Szymon Bednarz (Project Manager) and Krzysztof Kozan (Engineering Manager).

The students also had the chance to view tanks prepared for FAT inspections and see a production tent fully stocked with tanks from one, huge project.

Two classes, one shared experience

Two classes took part in the visit: TSW (Transport and Logistics Technician), accompanied by teacher Andrzej Pawlicki, and TEP (Port and Terminal Technician), with homeroom teacher Bożena Cierniak.

The school summarized the TSW class visit on its social media as follows:

“This school year, we began a collaboration with Gpi Tanks Poland. Our students from class 2 TSW had the opportunity to visit this renowned facility, which specializes in producing stainless steel tanks.
During the visit, students listened to a fascinating presentation by managing director Diana Stuij and marketing specialist Jagoda António. They gained valuable insights into the company’s operations and production processes.
Touring the production hall was a great experience. Future freight forwarding technicians saw for themselves how large-scale tanks are built.”

The TEP class also expressed that the visit was both informative and inspiring. Students appreciated the warm reception and engagement of the hosts.

Looking ahead

Visits like this are an excellent way to connect education with industry. They allow students to move beyond theory and gain a deeper understanding of real-life technology and manufacturing.

Additionally, Gpi Tanks Poland actively supports the development of young technical talent. By opening its doors to schools, the company shares knowledge and promotes innovation in industrial engineering.

As a result, students leave with greater motivation, clearer career goals, and real-world context for their skills.

Another visit is already planned for the end of May.
