Gpi Tanks XL receives substantial order for Maastank terminal
To expand storage capacity at Botlek, Gpi has received an order from Maastank for nine stainless steel storage tanks with a total capacity of 16,700m3. Production will be carried out in Westdorpe and it is expected that the tanks will be transported to the Maastank terminal in the second quarter of 2021.
Storage tanks
The order comprises nine stainless steel tanks for the storage of various oils. Each tank is 27.5 metres in height with capacities ranging from 1620m3 to 2150m3. The tanks will be manufactured from a combination of SAE 316L grade stainless steel and duplex 2205. Once production has been completed, the tanks can be transported by water to their final destination at Welplaatkade in Botlek, Rotterdam. The tanks will be constructed in compliance with NEN-EN 14015 guidelines.
